Carolyn Kline-Coyle is an abstract painter from Drexel Hill, PA. She is a teaching artist for The Community Art Center in Swarthmore, PA as well as the Wayne Art Center in Wayne, PA. Carolyn received her MFA in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Her work has been included in many solo and group exhibitions throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. She has won several awards in painting, namely from the Goggle Artworks Center in Reading, PA. Her work is held in private collections as well as the Keystone Art and Culture Center in Lancaster, PA. My art is an expression of my experiences, memories and inspirations. Words and phrases are used as compositional elements pulled apart and reconfigured until their meaning is erased. I use color, texture and experimentation with materials to explore these elements in my paintings. .
Beth deVitry earned her BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art and then apprenticed as a traditional goldsmith. After years working as a jewelry designer in the retail world, she turned her focus to enamel. Beth has exhibited in international curated exhibits, craft shows and galleries. She currently resides in Lancaster PA where she teaches and continues to explore enamel. Inspired by my travels and the landscape around me, I enjoy the challenge of expression in enamel as a medium. I pursue themes signifying small quiet moments in the natural world and the patterns found in nature. Exploring various enamel techniques in combination with traditional metal smithing, I often pursue a memory of a specific time, place, and emotion. I relish the fact that the wearer of my work will have their own personal interpretation and perhaps their own emotional attachment to each piece.
Kate Norris is a mixed-media artist and teaching artist based in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her BA from Stanford University and her MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and juried art festivals throughout the United States.
Norris’s work begins with structures that protect, shelter and hold: the rib cage, the skull, the nest. Though their forms differ, each suggests strength while remaining vulnerable to injury, change and loss. She combines drawing, acrylic paint, charcoal, vintage wallpaper and thread, allowing recognizable imagery to emerge, dissolve and reassemble. Wallpaper carries traces of domestic life and inherited pattern; stitching acts as both connection and repair.
Through these layered surfaces, Norris explores strength not as hardness or invulnerability, but as the continuing capacity to adapt and hold together. Her work asks how fragile things remain connected—and what persists when familiar structures begin to shift.
